Caregiver is an application with the primary goal of reminding children with learning disabilities to perform certain tasks based on strategically placed bluetooth beacons in order to become more independent.
CareGiver is a mobile application designed to help children with autism and other learning disabilities to improve at completing daily repetitive tasks. One of the challenges for children who have these disabilities is to remember regular tasks such as washing their hands after going to the bathroom or turning off the lights when leaving the room. Our app will be designed to remind its users in a way that is comfortable to them and will keep them calm, but also teach them to remember things without having someone looking over the shoulder at all times. This will be accomplished by setting up Bluetooth beacons that will be able to be setup within the application. The app will send out notifications to the user, who will then be able to confirm that they remembered to do all the tasks set up for them. Overall this will help to make them more independent and able to learn more through repetition, while allowing the person in charge of the user to have more peace of mind and free time.
